Tony Denney

BSc Chemistry
Tony holds a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) from Auckland University. He completed his in-house Brew master training with Lion Breweries in the 1980’s. With a wealth of experience in the management, production and operational processes in small, medium, and large breweries gained over a 25+ year career at Lion Breweries and Independent Liquor (NZ) Ltd, Tony has more recently designed and commissioned a contract craft brewery in Hawkes Bay where he held the role of lead consultant.
He has project managed the expansion, transfer, design, build, and commissioning of several breweries, designed and commissioned a winery / beer maturation cellar, gained approval for contract brewing and assisted in the planning and design of new packaging facilities in New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific islands. His latest projects involved overseas breweries and distilleries where he carried out a number of roles from training through to full brewery and packaging design and build. Tony is an associate of Pacific Process (NZ) Ltd.
