Chris Bloor

Dr. Chris Bloore is a Chemical Engineer with nearly 50 years’ experience in the Milk Powder evaporation and drying industry. His first 10 years focused on milk powders research and culminated in his PhD in Spray Dried Milk Powder Quality Control in 1981. The next 10 years were spent in research, lecturing, and research program management based at the NZ Dairy Research Institute. Since 1990 Chris has been a self-employed international dairy industry consultant initially in New Zealand and Australia then in the last 15 years also in the European and US dairy industries. His work was mainly in the areas of dryer specification, evaporator and dryer design, fire and explosion design, powder stickiness, factory layout, trouble shooting and process control, spending nearly a third of his time in education and training work in these fields. Chris is an independent contractor and an associate partner in Pacific Process.
